Finding a Cheap Used Estima From Second Hand Car Dealers Is A Wise Choice

September 29th, 2009

Toyota started to manufacture the Estima in 1990. They were sold under the Estima nameplate in the Japanese market. They are also sold under the Toyota Previa in the North American market, and the Toyota Tarago in the Australian market place. Known as a MPV or Multi Purpose Vehicle through out most of the countries that Toyota exports to, they are more commonly known as a mini van in the large North American market.

The first generation of Estima was produced in a couple of different sizes. The Estima Lucida and the Estima Emina were slightly smaller then the regular Estima because they were mostly used as taxis in Japan. In having a slightly smaller version for use in Japan, they tended to fall in a lower tax system, so they were more attractive then their larger siblings. Both the Emina and the Lucida came with a 2.2 L diesel engine.

With a lot of downsizing and cost cutting measures being implemented by companies all over he world, a cheap used Estima from dealers of second hand cars has become more popular then actually purchasing a new model. The quality, technology and over all craftsmanship has made finding a used Estima more realistic then ever before.

When purchasing anything that is second hand, one should make sure that all the maintenance records have been kept up to date. It is possible to find cheap used Estimas for under $2,000 US. These used models are usually made in the late nineties, and a lot have low kilometers on them. Compared to the new pricing that one would pay for a Estima right off the production line, the cheaper, used variety is well worth looking into.

Another wonderful feature that has made the search for cheap used Estimas become more popular is their diesel engine that is used as their power plant that propels the vehicle. A diesel engine can handle at least two times as many kilometers as a regular gasoline engine. For the most part, when one finds a cheap used model, even with higher then normal mileage, it will still be a good, cleaner running car then ones with gas engines. So if a regular gasoline engine can go for 500,000 kilometers, then its diesel counter part will easily handle one million kilometers, and more often then not, they will go for 1.5 million.

Finding a cheap used Estima is easier then ever before. With the technology of the Internet, you can now just go online and search out hundreds of different places and vehicles to choose from.

The Mitsubishi Estima, as it’s known in Japan, or the Previa brand as it is recognized in the North American market, can also be found in decent numbers from your local second hand car dealer. When one finds a second hand car dealer that has a trusted reputation, they should inquiry about a possible extended type warranty. Although most will not offer such a warranty on a cheap used Estima, some will. As mentioned before, the Estimas diesel power plant can handle so many more kilometers then a traditional gas engine, that the worries of buying used are somewhat diminished.

The Mitsubishi Estima, either brand new right out of the factory, or a cheap used model found at a second hand auto dealer can provide for many years of enjoyable, worry free driving. One must keep in mind that when purchasing anything that has been regularly used, like an Estima MPV, there can be some mechanical issues. So it’s best to find one that has all its service and maintenance records, as well as one that visibly appears to be in good, solid shape.

Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis Provides Safety And Reliability

September 25th, 2009

Mitsubishi Motors of Japan first introduced the Chariot in 1983. It is a five door compact multi purpose vehicle (MPV) that was available in a five or seven passenger models. It was based on the SSW prototype that first made its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1979. The production of the Chariot lasted until 2002, at which point it was replaced in November 2003 by the Mitsubishi Grandis. The name Grandis comes from the French word ‘grandiose’, which lends itself to the fact that it is larger, heavier and better quality.

Through out the rest of the world, the Chariot has been sold under a variety of different names. The Mitsubishi Space Wagon, Nimbus and Expo. It has also been sold under the Dodge/Plymouth Colt Vista Wagon as a captive import in North America. Also produced under license as the Hyundai Santamo, Kia Carstar and the Mitsubishi Savrin in the Asian market place.

Mitsubishi has incorporated the RISE body construction. Standing for ‘Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution’ or Realized Impact Safety Evolution’ this system is proprietary to Mitsubishi and was first introduced in the 1996 Gallant.

The Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis has a monocoque body construction, which is a process that uses the Grandis external skin to support the structural load. Unlike the previous standard construction method of using an internal frame or truss type system to bear all the load. Using their RISE construction Mitsubishi provides for a shell that uses a high tensile steel reinforcing bars in the doors. It also uses energy absorbing material in the side pillars and also in the roof rails. It’s basically like riding in one big roll cage, so the safety features of the Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis is rivaled by no one. This system has been around in airplane construction since the 1930’s.

Preceding the launch of the Mitsubishi Grandis in 2003, Mitsubishi first introduced the Chariot Grandis in 1997. This was the third generation of Chariot, and was larger then previous models and also one of the first MPV’s available with the monocoque body construction. Because these vehicles became very popular amongst families, the safety features became that much more important to all the potential owners.

When Mitsubishi introduced the larger and heavier Grandis they needed to improve the power of the engine. The original Chariots came standard with the same engine as in the Lancer, SOHC straight 4 or 1755cm. This was just OK on the smaller Chariots, but once they redesigned them and introduced the larger, heavier Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis, the straight 4 did not provide enough power or horsepower. So they went ahead and provided for a larger, more powerful 4G64 that was 2350cc. You had the option of getting it in a five speed manual or a four speed automatic.

The Chariot Grandis provides comfort with their armchair like individual seating. No matter what engine type is chosen, they have very good gas mileage for a larger MPV, so it’s not going to strain your wallet by constantly having to fill it up. The rear seats can be folded down which allows for the owner to transport larger loads should the need arise.

Mitsubishi has long been known for building a very high quality, superior vehicle over the years. The Chariot Grandis has proven over time to fall right in line with the high standards in which all of Mitsubishis vehicles are produced. The Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis also won the Australian Wheels Care of the Year award in 1984, the year it made its debut. This is especially gratifying since it was their first year in production, and rarely do vehicles that are in their first year of production ever come close to winning a car of the year award of any kind.

Things to Keep in Mind while Buying Cars from Used Car Dealers,

September 8th, 2009

People who want to buy cars on a budget often turn to used car dealers for good cars. While some of the dealers provide really good cars for a reasonable price, many dealers provide mediocre cars for a standard rate and due to lack of information many people buy these medium quality cars. These used car dealers often get away by selling medium to low quality cars since people who are buying these cars settle for second best but if you are planning to buy a car then you do not need to settle for second best. This article is going to elaborate on ways you can buy good cars like the Toyota Corona Premio for reasonable rates from used car dealers.

The first thing to keep in mind while buying a car from used car dealers is that the car should look well maintained. Cars that have well maintained exteriors are often kept clean and serviced regularly. Well maintained cars should have minimal scratches, no dents and minimal replacements. This guideline can save you a lot of money since cars that have visible scratches or large dents often have been in an accident which means that they may encounter problems when you use them.

The second thing to keep in mind while buying a car from used car dealers is that the car’s interiors should be clean and the engine should run smoothly. Engines that do not sound right often have problems and dirty interiors suggest that the previous owner or dealer was not taking good care of the car. The spark plug, engine and other interiors should be clean of dust and grime while the car seats and wheel should be in usable condition. It is always beneficial to buy a car that has a protective cover over the car seats since this suggests that the previous owner cared about his car. Broken accessories inside the car often suggest that the previous owner was reckless and this could mean that the car is not in good condition.

The third thing to keep in mind while buying a car from used car dealers is that the car should run smoothly while taken on a test drive. If the car stops on the way or does not drive smoothly then chances are that you will face problems after you buy the car although the dealer may claim that it is a temporary hitch and the problem can be fixed. It is always worth buying a car that runs smoothly, has clean interiors since this proves that the previous owner and the dealer maintained the quality of the car.

Most used car dealers stock a variety of cars but the Toyota Corona Premio is considered as one of the best cars in the market. The Toyota Corona Premio is a Japanese midsized car that is sold by Toyota. This car is a luxurious sedan and is considered as an upgraded version of the Allion sedan. The Toyota Corona Premio is manufactured using wood trims and silver accents hence this car looks elegant and sophisticated. The first generation Toyota Corona Premio was manufactured in the year 2001 and these cars were sold up to the year 2006. The second generation version of this car was created in the year 2007 and this car is sold till date. The second generation Toyota Corona Premio has an expensive look and the engines used in this car were the same used in the first generation cars. The capacity of the engines for the first and second generation cars is 1.5 L, 1.8 L and 2.0 L and in the second generation cars, the G Book is provided as an optional feature.
